It happens to the best of us. We forget to make the deposit carried in our wallet. We didn't write down the trip to the doctor or grocery store. With busy schedules, electronic check clearing, debit cards and multiple people on one account, it's easy to forget about things both big and small. Whatever the reason, Openland Credit Union Courtesy Pay* is there to protect your checking account and save you from an embarrassing moment.

Openland may authorize and honor overdrafts up to the Courtesy Pay limit on your account for the following types of transactions:

• Checks and other transactions made using your checking account number
• Automatic bill payments
• Recurring payments made with your debit card (such as gym memberships)

Additionally, with your authorization, Openland can also apply the Courtesy Pay limit for the following types of transactions:

• ATM Transactions
• Everyday debit card transactions

There is no additional cost associated with this privilege unless you use it. However, you should keep in mind that you will be charged our Courtesy Pay fee of $30 for each item paid under the limit.

It is recommended that you visit with a Member Service Representative prior to Opting Out to make sure you have the correct protection for you and your family. While we do not encourage overdrafts, Courtesy Pay can help you avoid costly mistakes and additional Merchant Fees.
