Mobile Payments are as Secure as Using Your Card

Since you don't physically use your card, merchants will not receive access to your card information or personal details since payments are processed with a transaction-specific code.

Mobile Wallets Store More Than Just Payment Cards

You can also store insurance cards, loyalty or rewards cards, memberships, airline boarding passes and tickets to movies or concerts!

Mobile Wallets Can Make Shopping More Efficient

Since your mobile wallet already has your shipping and billing information, you can save yourself the chore of completing those fields when making an online purchase.


Paying with your mobile wallet is the easiest way to shop.

Data protection

When you check out using a digital wallet platform, a unique transaction code is generated, securing your name, card and security code. In the event of a data breach, this offers better protection and significantly decreases the likelihood of your card being compromised.

Fingerprint security

Your phone's fingerprint ID adds another layer of protection. In the event your phone is lost or stolen, your mobile wallet cannot be used, unlike if you lose a wallet containing your actual debit and credit cards.

Mastercard Zero Liability Protection*

When you use your Openland debit or credit card with a mobile payment service, you still have the same liability protection for unauthorized purchases that you have when you use your physical card to check out.

If you link any of your accounts or services to a third party app or payment service (including but not limited to PayPal, Zelle or Venmo) you understand and agree that these are not Credit Union services; and any transactions you make will be subject to your agreements with the app or service provider. You understand that these apps and services do not provide the same protections from fraud or other misapplication of funds as traditional direct banking services. If we transfer any funds as directed by you or anyone you authorize to the app or third party service provider such transfer(s) shall in all respects be an authorized transaction and we will have no further obligation or liability if the app or provider then transfers the funds to a fraudster or the funds are otherwise misapplied. Further, you understand that funds transferred to/via a third party App may not be federally or otherwise insured; and you assume all risks should your funds become unavailable for any reason.
